Butternut Squash Recipe Ingredients
The following are the ingredients I used to prepare the butternut squash recipe in the video below:
- ½ butternut squash
- Shredded oil bean (ukpaka/ugba)
- Spinach
- Palm Oil
- Habanero pepper
- Salt (to taste)
- Ogiri Igbo (castor seed paste)
Tools and utensils you’ll need
The following are some great kitchen equipment I used in preparing the butternut squash:
- A very sharp knife to cut the very hard butternut squash.
- Mortar and pestle to pound the ingredients. You can also use a chopper.
Notes on the Butternut Squash Ingredients
- If you can’t buy butternut squash, use anyu (Nigerian fluted pumpkin fruit).
- Add every other thing to your taste.
- Other vegetables you can use are ugu or garden egg leaves.
