Igbotic Pie Ingredients
For the dough
- 2½ cups (360g) plain flour (APF)
- 1 (265g, 9.3oz) ripe plantain
- 2 tbsp red palm oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 egg for sealing and glazing
For the filling
- 1 cup boiled brown beans
- 2 pieces of mackerel fish
- 1 red onion
- 1 seasoning cube
- Red palm oil
- Habanero pepper
- Salt to taste

Notes on the Igbotic Pie Ingredients
- You can also use boiled black eyed beans for the filling.
- You can add more fish than beans.
- No two plantains are equal, some will take more flour.
- When using overripe plantain, you will need more flour.
